Yummy Breakfast

I headed into the kitchen this morning very conscious of the fact that there is a big box of Reeses Puffs cereal in our cupboard. Why do we have those in the house!? I could feel my "binge self" already coming on and thinking about all the food I could eat, but instead I made a glass of hot water with half a lemon squeezed into it and decided to drink it before I ate anything else. Pausing like this helped me sort of calm down (it's so weird writing about this btw :) ) and centered me. Then I went forth with a clear mind and made a yummy and healthy breakfast.

On my plate I had 1 kiwi, 3/4 of a banana cut up with 1.5 T of almond butter, some carrots, and a 1/4 cup of full fat greek yogurt with a strawberry and some blueberries and chopped mango.

This is the type of breakfast that I completely enjoy in the fact that it tastes great and makes me feel great afterwards!

I don't have classes OR work today :) so I plan on relaxing for a little at home right now, then either going to spin class or taking my bike out for a ride. It's a beautiful day out so I'm hoping that the latter possibility happens!

Recovering Binge Eater

Hi. My name is Leighton and I am a binge eater. I have dealt with issues with food for many years. As I grow older I'm learning that time doesn't necessarily make you grow UP. I want to grow up and become the confident and balanced adult I always imagined I would be. I do not want to be a binge eater. So I'm making this blog to write about my daily experiences with food. I want to write about what I eat everyday so I can stay on track.

I'm excited but this task seems very daunting!
